MHP Test Suite

The MHP Test Suite is a set of thousands of tests to be run on a candidate MHP implementations. If the implementation passes the Test Suite, it can then apply to use the MHP logo. This conformance process is explained in some detail under Implementing MHP / Manufacturers.

There a number of versions of the MHP Test Suite. It is essential that you use the latest one when testing compliance to the MHP Specification.

Since 31 March 2003, MHP 1.0.2a should not be used for conformance testing. In fact, MHP 1.0.2b adds to the functionality of MHP 1.0.2a, completing coverage in areas less well covered there.

As with any specification, the MHP Test Suite may not be perfect, and the DVB MHP Experts Group issues "Exclude Lists" and "Alternative Tests" from time to time to ensure the quality of the current MHP Test Suite version.
